DO THIS NEXT SUNDAY EVERYONE...

SO NICE I DID IT TWICE...
Oops, I did it again, just as I did last May 1. I walked the boulevard at sunset and ate street calamari by the US Embassy once more. I also went back to Luneta and watched another performance at the Luneta Park Concert Shell (below, Darren Matias on the piano). I am now a firm believer in free classical music and dance for everyone in the city. Here is the May schedule for Concert @ The Park at both Paco Park and Luneta Park in Manila.

LUNETA PARK CONCERT AMPITHEATER
They have regular Sunday shows at 6 p.m.
This month:
May 10 — "A Summer Recital" with Suzuki music students
May 17 — PWU High School Female Ensemble
May 24 — Piano Teachers Association of the Philippines
May 31 — Banda 31.

PACO PARK
They have regular Friday shows at 6 p.m.
This month:
May 8 — A concert featuring clarinet, violin viola and piano
May 15 — Kwatro Gitara (UP guitar majors)
May 22 — SSC Guitar Ensemble
May 29 — A Homecoming Concert (pianist Frances Niduaza)

Go next weekend to Paco or Luneta, everyone. And if you are looking for other things to do on a Sunday, you could go to my Deluxe Intramuros tour in the morning, visit the National Museum of the Philippines in Agrifina Circle (The museum is FREE on Sundays), walk the boulevard and snack on street food, and perhaps have dinner at Harbor View by Quirino Grandstand or at the 60's throwback fine dining restaurant, "The Rotisserie" at The Manila Pavilion.

That's all for now. Over and out.
